Illuminated with candles and soft lights, the Biltmore House appears as it did Christmas Eve 1895, when it officially opened by George Vanderbilt. Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Boxes

July 26

Throughout the Summer, you can pick up a shoebox in the Welcome Center so you can pack it with fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for a boy or girl in need. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Please return these boxes to the Missions Hallway Donation Bin marked for Operation Christmas Child by Sunday, July 26.

Men’s Breakfast

This year’s Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday, August 15 at 8 am in the Fellowship Hall. Rev. Todd Wright is our guest speaker. Rev. Wright served as Lead Pastor of Midway Church from 1996 to 2025, guiding the church through remarkable growth and a renewed focus on disciple-making and missions. A native of Tallapoosa, Georgia, Pastor Wright holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Luther Rice University and has served in ministry for more than four decades. A respected pastor, author, and leadership trainer, he has invested in churches and ministry leaders around the world while faithfully serving the West Georgia community. Todd and his wife, Lisa, have been married for more than 40 years and are blessed with children and grandchildren.

Open Hands Benefit Pickleball Tournament

August 7 - 8

Join us for the Open Hands Pickleball Classic on August 7-8, a community event benefiting the ministry of Open Hands! The weekend kicks off on Friday evening on August 7 from 6:00–8:00 PM with a fun-filled family event featuring community leader pickleball matches, food trucks, face painting, and plenty of opportunities to cheer on your favorite team.

The excitement continues on Saturday, August 8 beginning at 8:30 AM with a pickleball tournament for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Men’s and women’s doubles brackets will be offered in partnership with the West Georgia Pickleball Association and Carrollton Parks & Recreation.

Whether you’re playing, cheering from the sidelines, or simply enjoying the festivities, this is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community for fun, fellowship, and to support the incredible ministry of Open Hands. Registration and sponsorship information will be available soon.
