Wednesday night activities resume August 12 with our Fall Kickoff Cook-In! Join us for a church-wide dinner that starts at 4:45, adult discipleship opportunities, children’s activities and student worship as we launch into a new season together. We can’t wait to see you there!

TeamKID -Missions and Discipleship

Wednesday nights are back! TeamKID: All In begins Wednesday, August 19, from 6:00–7:00 PM!

Each week, kids will have fun with friends while learning what it means to be ALL IN as a follower of Jesus. Throughout the year, we’ll explore worship, Bible study, prayer, rest and remembrance, serving others, and sharing our faith—helping kids learn how to live out their faith every day at home, at school, and wherever they go.

Join us Wednesday nights as we grow, learn, serve, and have lots of fun together!

Children’s Choir

August 19

Children’s Choir begins Wednesday, August 19, from 5:30–6:00 PM. Kids will learn songs, play instruments, grow in their understanding of worship, and have opportunities throughout the year to share what they’ve learned with our church family. We can’t wait to hear our TabKids lift their voices and praise the Lord!

Footsteps of Paul Tour

April 18-27, 2027

Join with Dr. Stephen Allen and Rev. Dan Dockery on a life-changing journey to some of the most awe-inspiring biblical sites in Greece and Turkey on April 18 – 28. Walk in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul as you explore the sacred places where his missionary journeys and letters helped shape the foundation of early Christianity. Sail across the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea and explore some early Christian heritage that will bring the biblical narrative alive! As you visit key locations tied to Paul’s teachings, each step of the journey will reveal a new layer of inspiration and insight, leaving you with a lasting spiritual revelation. Wednesday Night Spirit Challenge

Let’s kick off our fall Wednesday Night Suppers with a little friendly fun and fellowship! Each week, everyone is invited to wear or bring something that matches our weekly theme. It’s a great way to celebrate our community, meet new people, and enjoy some spirited conversation around the dinner table.

Wear your favorite local (city/county) school’s colors or spirit wear.

Show your support by wearing apparel from your favorite college or university.

Represent your favorite professional sports team with a jersey, hat, T-shirt, or other team item.

Gridiron Sunday & Powderpuff Pigskin Classic

August 30

Time to get ready for another season of football! Wear your favorite team’s colors to Sunday Worship, then join us on August 30 at 5:00 PM for a fun-filled evening celebrating the South’s favorite sport. We will have our 2nd annual Powder Puff Flag Football game for girls and women ages 5 and up! Bring your own chairs, enjoy the concession stand, and cheer on the teams. FBC Trussville Choir Tour

September 2

The Joyful Hearts Choir of First Baptist Church in Trussville, AL will be in concert on Wednesday, Sept 2 at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Worship Center. Come celebrate America through song.

This will be a great kick-off for the New Tabernacle Singers Choir (55+) meeting on Wednesdays from 11 AM-12 PM starting the following week, Sept 9. Great music making, fellowship, and ministry together…come and bring a friend!

Forge Men’s Fellowship Monday

Serve the City

September 19

Calling all students, join us for Serve the City on Saturday, September 19, at Mount Holly Church! Invite your friends and spend the day serving our community while growing in your faith alongside other students. The event runs from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and includes a service project, lunch, dinner, and a T-shirt for those who register by September 1. The cost is $35 per student. We hope you’ll be part of this incredible day of service and fellowship!

Christmas Reveal

August 29

/ 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra will have their Christmas reveal and rehearsal on Saturday, Aug 29 from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM. BBQ lunch will be provided. This is open enrollment for all adults 18 and older who wish to participate as we begin preparations for this special event. (childcare provided)

Called Church Conference – Financial Plan Discussion

Sept. 13 & Sept. 27

A called Church Conference is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, at 4 PM in the Chapel. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Projected Contributions and Ministry Expenditure Plan for Fiscal Year 2026-27. Members of the Finance Committee will be available to answer questions and clarify any information. The expenditure plan will be voted on during a called Church Conference at the end of the worship service on Sunday, September 27, without discussion.
