We invite you to join us Wednesdays for engaging opportunities to worship, learn, and connect. Whether you’re a child, student, or adult, there’s something for everyone on Wednesday nights at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Children learn to sing, move, and make a joyful noise while discovering God’s love through music.

Kids dive into TeamKID! — a fun, interactive program that helps them grow in their faith while learning how to follow Jesus in everyday life.
6:00 PM – Adult Discipleship Classes
Meaningful studies designed to help adults grow deeper in their walk with Christ. Current offerings include The Gospel of John: Knowing Jesus Through the “I Am” Statements and Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer (especially for parents).
6:00 PM – Student Worship
A time for students to gather, build friendships, and grow in their faith through worship and teaching.

Choir rehearsal begins as we lift our voices together and prepare to lead the congregation in worship each week.
Tabernacle’s Christmas Store is on Thursday, December 11, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Life Center Gym. We need your help in serving local families this Christmas. You may sign up for a family in the Welcome Center on November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30. You may also sign up online in on the button below or by contacting Doyle Akins at 678-386-6371. We will provide canned food items for each family. These may be donated in the hallway bin near the Fellowship Hall labeled Christmas Store. Additionally, gently used items will be accepted in the Life Center Gym from December 1 – 10.
We need your help to decorate our church for Christmas! After worship, we will have lunch in the Fellowship Hall for all our decorators before we head out to turn Tabernacle into a winter wonderland! While adults and students decorate, kids will stay in the fellowship hall where they’ll make their own ornaments for a Children’s Christmas Tree in the Welcome Center. After we’ve finished decorating, we’ll clean up and gather in the café area for a Christmas cake and a prayer of thanksgiving for this special season where we celebrate Christ’s presence with us. If you have any questions on how to sign up, please call us at 770-832-7063.
This season brings so much joy, but let’s be honest—there’s also a bit of chaos! With decorations to hang, parties to plan, and presents to buy, it’s easy to let December slip by and forget the true meaning of Christmas.
This year, we want to take a moment to slow down and focus on the heart of the season. That’s why we are hosting a special event called “Gingerbread Bash!” Join us on December 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall for a fun, interactive experience for the whole family. We will build gingerbread nativities, sing Christmas songs, play games, and hear the Christmas story from the Bible. Dinner will be provided, and the cost is $10 per family. Click the link to sign up today!
On Sunday, November 30 at 5:00 pm, a Candle Light Prayer Service will be held for Tabernacle Church Family and Friends. The service will provide you the opportunity to light a candle for answered prayers, a family loss, life struggles and health journey. There will be a time for reflection, scripture, and song, praising our Lord and thanking Him for the blessings we have received. We pray this service will bring comfort and peace to begin the holiday season. Childcare will not be provided. For questions or to submit a name of a loved one who has passed away in the last year, please contact Rev. Mary Lou Grimmett.
On Sunday, December 7 at 5 PM, A Tabernacle Christmas will usher in the Christmas season as the choir and orchestra leads in a festive celebration of our Savior’s birth. Childcare will be provided for 3 and under. There will also be an all-church Christmas party in the Fellowship Hall right after the concert. Come join with God’s family for a special time of worship!
As part of our upcoming “A Tabernacle Christmas” celebration on Sunday, December 7, we’re creating a special presentation featuring favorite Christmas photos from our church family!
We invite you to share a picture that captures the joy, warmth, and meaning of the season whether it’s a treasured family moment, a fun holiday tradition, or a memory from past Tabernacle events.
Please submit your photo to Adam Tucker at [email protected] by Monday, December 2. Let’s celebrate this season together through the memories that make Christmas so special!
On Sunday, December 21 at 5 PM, we will have a meditative time to observe The Lord’s Supper without spoken words or singing. This shorter service will be accompanied by instrumental music and will focus our hearts around Christ’s sacrifice for us through specific scripture passages and prayers. Childcare is not provided for this service.
On Wednesday, December 24 at 6 PM, we will have a family Christmas Eve Service as our church gathers to sing carols and light candles together! Childcare will not be provided as this is a family worship service. Come celebrate the arrival of King Jesus!
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering provides the International Mission Board with funding for global ministry. Every penny given goes directly to missionaries on the field. The Outreach Coordinating Council has set Tabernacle’s goal for this year at $55,000. Please prayerfully consider your contribution during this Christmas season so we can help share the Gospel worldwide.

Tabernacle is partnering with sister churches in the Carrollton Baptist Association to help build a new home for a local family walking through significant hardship. The foundation has already been poured, and the next major step is a Construction Day on Saturday, December 6, beginning at 8:00 AM, where volunteers will help frame the building. This is a hands-on opportunity to bless a family in need and demonstrate Christ’s love in our community. All skill levels are welcome to participate. If you would like to assist with this workday, please contact Phil McGukin at 678-776-6517.
The church office will close at 1 PM on Wednesday, and will be closed all day Thursday and Friday. There will also be no Wednesday night activities this week on November 26. Have a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends!
