The Annie Armstrong Offering provides the North American Mission Board with funding for North America ministry. Every gift to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering goes to train, resource, and send thousands of missionaries involved in church planting and compassion ministries across the United States and Canada. The Outreach Coordinating Council has set Tabernacle’s goal for this year at $25,000. Please prayerfully consider your contribution during this Holy Season!
On Maundy Thursday, April 17 at 6:30 PM, our choir and orchestra will lead in a special time of worship focusing on Christ’s death on the cross. We will sing, read scripture, and the service will culminate in the observance of the Lord’s Supper. Childcare will be provided for children age 3 and under.
On Sunday, April 20, we will celebrate the greatest day in all of history as we proclaim that Christ has victory over death. We will confidently raise our voices in worship as we celebrate the Resurrection and the Hope that we find in Jesus Christ. Invite someone to join us for this special 11 AM worship service!
Tabernacle will host the Carrollton Baptist Association’s VBS Clinic on April 26 at 10 AM. Breakout sessions will be available for leaders of different age groups. This will be a great opportunity to learn how to make this year’s VBS an exciting and fun outreach to the children in our community.
We will offer Darkness to Light child abuse training on Sunday, April 27, for those who work with children and youth. Church policy requires all volunteers who work with minors to complete the training. If you have not completed the training in the past three years, please make plans to join us. The class will immediately follow worship in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up with Crystal Gilley in the church office by April 18.
Sunday, May 4 will be Generations Sunday as multiple ages lead in worship. These days are always encouraging when we see a big picture of the Body of Christ as different generations lead and serve together. Don’t miss this special day!
Also on May 5, we will be recognizing college graduates at the end of the service. If you have a student who will be graduating this spring or who has graduated this past year from the ranks of higher education, please submit their name, institution, and degree to [email protected] by April 20.
Join us for a fun night out watching the Braves! Tickets are $15 each. Friday Night Fireworks will follow the game. The 12-passenger van is available to transport as well as four additional parking passes for those carpooling. Please let John Pridgen know if you plan on riding the van. 30 tickets are available for our families of kids and students.
The 9th Annual Charlie Story Boston Butt sale will be held Saturday, May 3, from 9 AM-12 PM at the bus barn. Boston butts will be sold for $45 each. Orders will be taken in the welcome center after the worship service on Sundays, April 20 and 27, or by clicking the button. The deadline to order is April 27.
