COLLEGE MINISTRY

Our desire is that every college-aged young adult would delight in Jesus in such a way that they would bear fruit for the kingdom of God on their campus and in the world. We do this through opportunities designed for students to meet with God, connect with others, and live with purpose. As students move from high school to college or career and beyond, we do our best to ensure that they are surrounded by a loving Christian community. Our hope is that students who go off to college from our church will know that they always have a church home to return to when they are in town. Also, we hope that those who remain close or come to Carrollton for college will be plugged in through our Sunday School community and volunteer opportunities. As young adults who truly have the opportunity to own their faith, we believe this age is a pivotal time to serve in church and our community. We are blessed to have two schools of higher education (University of West Georgia and West Georgia Technical College) very close to our church. We would love to be your church family during your time here in Carrollton.

Tabernacle’s worship service meets at 11 AM and is an intergenerational family worship service.  We sing new and old songs and the service is led by band, choir, and orchestra.  You will worship with people younger and older than you as well as people your own age.

The college Sunday School class meets at 9:45 AM in the Life Center.  This is a time for study and discussion of God’s word with other college students.

The college Bible study meets at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays nights in the Life Center.  This is an informal time to go deeper in discipleship.

Tabernacle’s orchestra is primarily made up of students from the University of West Georgia.  If you play an orchestra or band instrument or sing, our Worship Pastor, James Kimmel would love to talk to you about how to use these gifts in worship.
